As the new year is about to roll out I thought I would write down my new years resolutions. This is something that I did last year on the blog and thought it would be fun to do again this year as well. While I did not achieve everything on my goal list last year or I started in the beginning and gave up half way though. There was a lot that I accomplished and there is so much more I want to accomplish this upcoming year. Along with a giant move planned for my boyfriend and I in January I know 2020 is going to be a great year.
Cooking was on my list rom last year and my goal was to save money by cooking at home. I also talked about how I had trips planned where I knew I would be unable to cook on those trips which was mostly true. However, I didn’t cook as much as I would have liked to this year. My goal for next year is to cook more at home with my boyfriend. Towards the end of the year we both have enjoyed cooking meals together or taking turns. What I have found to love about cooking at home is that I can eat food that I really want to eat versus what I’m settling to eat out of pure laziness. For example instead of going to the store and getting groceries to cook a nice meal. Out of laziness I often would just get fast food because it was quick and convenient. I am excited that we are moving together and will be able to cook more at home and enjoy good food while making great memories.
Health can go into many categories while above cooking at home would help my general health since I eat a lot better when I cook than when I eat out. I also going into the New Year want to work really hard and become who I want to be. In the beginning of 2019 I was being active but once the summer hit and I didn’t continue working out with my friends I mainly gave up on working out all together. Again this was out of laziness. I want to enter the new year with knowing I can do things on my own. Which is something that I have been working on for awhile now. Working out with friends can be fun however it is not something that I should rely on. The mindset I’m trying to get myself into is “No one but myself can eat well for me or loose weight for me. I am the only one in control of what I do for myself.” So continuing going forth with this mindset I really believe that I can accomplish amazing things in the years to come.
Getting a job in the new year is something I have been dreaming about for a long time. I graduating college in December of 2018 and had my graduation ceremony in May of 2019. Out of all this time I have yet to be able to lock down a job from where I am currently located in Southern California. This goes along with part of the reason that I am moving in the beginning of the year. I’m moving to an area with more opportunities and am looking forward to finally being able to work in my field of Information Technology on a more daily basis. During the new year I also want to continue working on certifications that will better prepare me for jobs and help give me an advantage in the playing field.
Creativity is something that I really struggled with this year. I have big plans on so many creative things I want to do in the new year. Resurrecting my YouTube channel which hasn’t been touched since August of this year is one of the major things I want to get back into. I loved making videos and use to make them all the time when I was younger. Playing with movie editors and making fun content is something I have always enjoyed doing. My goal is to start doing this again and just let myself have fun with what I want to create.
I am so excited for the new year to being and I am wishing you all an amazing 2020! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
