As I have been living in the 805 for the past 24 years of my life. (So, my entire life.) I decided that I want to venture out and explore more of what my home area has to offer. Today my friend Lisa and I went out for a girl’s day and went to Harvest Cafe in Ventura. We were looking for places that had warm inviting atmosphere’s similar to places you can find in Los Olivio’s. Harvest Cafe did not let us down, they had amazing food, drinks, friendly staff, and an amazing atmosphere.
Harvest Cafe is a “a true farm-to-table restaurant, serving only the freshest produce, arriving daily from farms in the Ventura area.” When visiting this cafe yesterday I ordered their special salad of the day which was fresh salad with tri-colored cauliflower, roasted carrots, roasted red bell pepper, garbanzo beans, peanuts, cashew cheese, and a Thai curry dressing. I also tried their immunity shot and had a glass of rose. My friend Lisa ordered a toffee cookie and a class of chardonnay. All the food items we ordered were amazing and definitely worth trying if you visit this cafe. Their salad was amazing and it was more than your average salad it had a lot of flavor which made it feel like something more than just a “salad”.
Harvest Cafe had many different things to offer from coffee, alcoholic drinks such as wine and beer, house made kombucha and orange juice, salads, breakfast items, sandwiches, pastries and much more. They also had a small shop section where you could purchase items such as mugs, essential oils, trinkets and much more.
If you are ever in the Ventura area and have some time to spare this is a definite place to hit up for breakfast or lunch. They are located at 175 S. Ventura St. and their typical hours are Monday-Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm & Sunday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
